Rio de Janeiro is home to one of the seven wonders of the modern world--the Christ the Redeemer Statue, but we would argue that the whole city is a modern wonder! There is no better place to see the city than from up in the surrounding mountains in the Tijuca Forest-officially the world's biggest urban rainforest. And there is no better way to visit the forest than by bicycle. Our forest tours take in various spectacular lookouts, pass by waterfalls and explore the history of one of the world's first great ecological projects.
The ride is all on sealed roads, however it is physically challenging for people who are not used to cycling up long hills. If you would prefer a less strenuous ride, we recommend the 12 Beaches Tour.
